Google Pay: Forget About Annoying Cards

Learn how to use Google Pay and get the most out of this tool with these tips. Google Pay is a tool designed by Google to allow payment via mobile in physical establishments and certain online stores, without having to make direct use of your credit card.

Since the application uses your card information to validate the transactions, it is a simple and fast-to-use tool that will allow you to streamline your purchases and use it on Android devices, tablets, or smartwatches. What is Google Pay, and how does it work? How to pay with Google Pay?

Google Pay: what it is and how it works

This application, previously known as Pay with Google and Android Pay, is designed for use in payment systems from mobile devices within the universe of tools developed by Google.

To do this, Google Pay uses praise contactless near field communication (NFC) technology to transmit information from the card, facilitating the transfer of money to the collector. It’s not exactly new: it has been around since 2018 when Android Pay and Google Wallet came together, and its main focus is mobile payment.

In this way, using Google Pay, it is no longer necessary to use your credit card or debit card chip and the PIN or the transaction via magnetic stripe at the point of sale terminals. This tool’s security standard allows a unique password to be generated for each transaction, and that your banking information is protected every time you pay.

Pay with Google Pay, use your mobile, associated with your banking information, to load your purchases in the Google Pay wallet, with the Android security standard, both through fingerprint identification and by a password. The only requirement is that your terminal has NFC.

Thus, it is enough to add the information about your card or bank cards manually to use this tool. Once you have configured your wallet, when you want to make a payment at any establishment, bring the mobile terminal closer to the point of sale system or dataphone to make the payment, just like when you pay using your mobile card.

The application is associated with your Google account and allows you to add membership cards, coupons, boarding passes, and send money to third parties.

Finally, as for how to configure Google Pay, the easiest option is to download the mobile app (both from Google Play for Android and the Apple App Store for iOS) and add a payment method. To enter each bank card’s information, you can use either a scan of the card itself or the manual introduction of its data.

Finally, don’t forget to have your mobile’s NFC active. In this link, you can find out which banks are compatible with Google Pay.
